We have been notified that this will be the last weekend (March 22,23) for alpine skiing and the following weekend (March 29,30) the last for nordic skiing at Hyak. The twist is that the area plans to run the Keechelus lift for the nordics, so we need to have sufficient alpine patrollers to support that lift. We will begin taking down the alpine skiing related equipment and gear leaving enough to run the area for nordic skiing the following weekend. Since Saturday is supposed to be a sunny day ,Jay is proposing that we have a bring your own weiner roast at the 'mountain top' hut. So bring something to grill and something to share. See you Saturday.
